What role you will play in our team
- We are looking for experienced engineers with an emphasis on Wells Engineering and Wells Procurement Quality to provide wells engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio.

What you will do
- Provide engineering support in drilling, completions, well performance area to ExxonMobil wells teams by handling Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities associated with equipment manufacturing processes supporting the ExxonMobil Global Wells Teams.
- Advise wells teams in procurement decisions mitigating operational risks and ensuring integrity and compliance for material and products to meet Industry and EM Quality Standards.
- Responsible for review and approval of supplier Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans for OCTG, downhole completion and Wellhead equipment’s.
- Provides assistance to Wells procurement teams to incorporate Wells Quality Manual (WQM) and associated Appendices as part of the quality exhibits for tender documentation package.
- Steward supplier evaluation and assessments, facility qualification and API Q1 compliance audits.
- Provides direction and oversight to Third Party Inspectors for the manufacture, inspection, and test of material and equipment.
- Ensures appropriate budget allocation for Third Party inspection agencies collaborating with Wells Teams.
- Assists Wells Engineering staff with resolution of Nonconformance Reports (NCR) and Requests-for-Exception (RFE).
- Supports root cause failure analysis and monitor the implementation of corrective actions at supplier manufacturing facilities.
- Maintain the list of quality catches recorded during equipment manufacturing activities and share them during the monthly ERS meetings.
- Review TPI inspection reports, ensure outstanding concerns and issues are effectively addressed by the supplier prior to releasing the equipment for dispatch to Project site locations.
- Maintain sound understanding of API specifications and ExxonMobil Quality procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams.
- Create tutorials, SOP documentation, training material and case studies pertaining to quality control, quality assurance and lessons learned.
About You
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with minimum GPA 7.0 and above
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and upstream oil and gas production industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through engineering requirements, material specifications, and industry / EM quality standards
- Experienced and familiar with API and proprietary premium, rotary connection inspection and threading operations.
- Experienced and familiar with downhole completion and wellhead equipment assembly and testing requirements.
- Experience in wells design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting, or optimization of well performance and well management preferred.
- Good communication skill and experience of working in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours.
- Position is Bangalore based with potential for international travel.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Familiar with Rig equipment inspection, testing, preventive maintenance and major certification requirements.
