Context & Environment

Wind yield engineering team of OneTech is composed of about 15 engineers, based in Paris & Montpellier. It is a quite young teams, created in 2021, and that experimented a strong growth. We are used to exchange between each other during organisational & technical weekly meeting. The team is leaded by some lead engineers, focused yield discipline (onshore – offshore – measurement – method) And we are lucky to see all the studies onshore & offshore wind project of the Company.

Activities

  • Propose, define, develop and implement tools to improve the performance of current wind yield engineering activities, with a specific focus on CFD modelling.
  • Benchmark wind flow models, improve use of existing wind flow models, propose & develop new wind flow models ;
  • Benchmark wake models, improve use of existing wake models, propose & develop new wake model use ;
  • Propose and pilot technology development projects focused on digitalization of wind yield methods for the Company ;
  • Participate to the methodology emulation/sharing/transmission within the Wind Energy Yield Engineer Community; Create, revise, review TotalEnergies Referential regarding Wind Energy Yield : Company Rules, Guides & Manuals, General Specification;
  • Participate in R&D activities and the development of internal tools ;
  • Create & perform technical training for wind yield engineer;
  • Wind yield technology watch and benchmark;
  • Support all activities relating to the expertise of wind measurement, analysis of wind resources and calculation of wind energy [Onshore/Offshore]; This list is not exhaustive.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Great technical capacity to pilot and create new tools & method for wind yield engineering but also great soft skills to be able to animate & federate the methodology enhancement.
  • Degree qualified engineer, 5 year experience in wind activities
  • Good knowledge in wind energy yield models and methods (5 years)
  • Good knowledge in fluid mechanical, numerical analysis, statistics, meteorology
  • GREAT capacity to use/adapt/transform CFD wind engineering soft
  • Great programming ability
  • Scientific mind set, team spirit and great autonomy will be necessary to succeed in the mission
  • Good knowledge English (written and spoken), and knowledge of French would be appreciated
