The position
By joining our team in CFO you will have the opportunity to:
Plan and conduct mappings and detailed risk assessments related to chemical, physical (e.g. noise) and biological working environment factors, including occupational hygiene measurements.
Support the risk owner in the follow-up of risks and work with risk-reducing measures.
Give advice to management, workers, and safety delegates in collaboration with other disciplines within the occupational health service (e.g. nurses, ergonomists, organizational psychologists, and medical doctors).
Give input to the risk owner’s annual health and working environment plans, as well as follow up on agreed deliveries.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standardized methods and tools to ensure good and efficient health and working environment deliveries.
The position will require some travel, which includes shorter assignments at Equinor’s offshore installations and onshore facilities.
Due to business growth, Equinor’s Occupational Hygiene team are looking to hire two discipline professionals; one as an Experienced Occupational Hygienist, the second as a Trainee Occupational Hygienist where full training will be provided.
In these positions, you will become an integral part of the team and act as an advisor on authority regulations, internal governance, relevant codes and industry best practice, relating to chemical, physical, and biological working environmental factors.

An experienced Occupational Hygienist;
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Occupational / Industrial Hygiene.
- Bachelor / Master degree in HSE, chemistry, biology, occupational hygiene, or other relevant technology subjects.
- Certification as an Occupational Hygienist is an advantage.
A Trainee Occupational Hygienist;
- Self-motivation to build a long-standing career as an Occupational Hygienist.
- Preferably Bachelor / Master degree in HSE, chemistry, biology, occupational hygiene, or other relevant technology subjects.
- Preferably a background in HSE, process, or a similar relevant position.
A committed and positive person who works well in a team and contributes to professional development.
Someone who is flexible with respect to travel activities and dares to take on new and unknown tasks.
Fluency in Norwegian is a must, as well as good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
